Richard Biever is a 27-year veteran of the musical theatre. He has worked professionally as an actor and singer (First National Tour of Oil City Symphony), musical director (National and European Tours of Little Shop of Horrors and West Side Story) and composer/arranger (The New Normal). He spent a year studying acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and received his Bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. His teaching experience includes acting, singing, and musical theatre for children and adults. He is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and the Dramatists Guild. He has directed for PSU School of Theatre and the State College Community Theatre. Rich is currently working on a Masters in Fine Arts in Direction with an emphasis on Musical Theatre at Penn State University.
Heidi Biever has performed throughout the US and Europe in such shows as “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Guys and Dolls” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Heidi has recorded several CD’s and was most recently seen as Maria in “The Sound of Music” at the State Theatre. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance and Music Education from the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. Heidi has had over 25 years experience teaching dance, art, music and theatre to children, having grown up as the daughter of area dance teacher Betty Jane Dittmar.
