EXCITING NEWS!
Singing Onstage has just been granted a license for a production of HAIRSPRAY for our summer camp 2010!

This means we will no longer be producing BYE BYE BIRDIE-- look for that great show another year. Once again, we are proud to be producing the premiere local production of this great show in State College! That makes SIX premieres with Singing Onstage: THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS, STRIKING 12, SWEENEY TODD (SCHOOL EDITION), 13, and SPELLING BEE.

HAIRSPRAY delighted audiences by sweeping them away to 1960's Baltimore, where the 50's are out -- and change is in the air. Loveable plus-size heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing, and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, "The Corny Collins Show." Overnight she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity. Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the program's reigning princess, integrate the television show, and find true love (singing and dancing all the while, of course!) without mussing her hair?

The show will be directed by Richard Biever and choreographed by Jill A. Brighton. We will have sets, costumes and a full orchestra!

Performance on Friday, August 6th, 7:30 PM at the Mt. Nittany Middle School

* Please note:  The ages for each class are guidelines.  Students are individually placed in a class that best suits their interests and abilities.
