"I learned something really valuable from auditioning this time around: if you go up nervous and you act like you don't know the music, it looks awful. But, even if you don't know the music, if you just go up and belt it as best as you can and have a character it works out really well. I sort of got that before, but now I really understand it. I just pictured the song and myself singing it as being something I would have already learned in voice lessons with you. Now I was just using the confidence I had gained in myself to sing the song with some serious A-TI-TUDE. I owe it all to you, the one who took a chance on an unknown kid with braces and a lack of dancing skills and who stuck around later to help me gain the confidence that it took for me to get somewhere where I was happiest."

"In just two years with Singing Onstage Studios, our son has performed on six different stages in shows such as Annie Jr., Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, High School Musical, and Oliver! Under the direction of Richard and Heidi Biever, our son has grown tremendously as an actor, singer, dancer, and overall performer. Richard and Heidi have the ability to recognize the strengths in each student and then guide them, with compassion and expertise (and FUN!), so that each child has a chance to share in the limelight. State College is privileged to have this high caliber team of musical theater veterans available to teach our children!!"

"My daughter Coco LOVED the Oliver! experience. Whether or not this turns into a career, the benefits she has gleaned from the experience will last her whole life. We're thrilled listening her to sing throughout the day and she's immensely more comfortable meeting and speaking to new people. Singing Onstage has boosted Coco's self-confidence and piqued an interest she's passionate about. Many Thanks."

"Singing Onstage has been a wonderful experience for my daughters. Their talent and confidence has grown tremendously since they started working with Rich and Heidi. I am impressed on performance night how they are able to transform our children into serious actors, while having fun at the same time, and I feel like the are competitive with big city theater programs. I hope to continue working with Rich and Heidi, as they are parents too and understand how to work with children and have created an amazing program!"

"I started taking Musical Theatre Classes and Voice Lessons from Rich Biever when I was 16. 14 years later I attribute everything that my voice is today to his teachings. I have been able to perform such roles as Tuptim in King and I, Kim in Bye Bye Birdie and Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Their positive encouragement coupled with the very effective techniques they provide have proven to be an amazing combination."

"Richard is a talented teacher and performer. He helps his students through very positive instruction. As a student of Richard's I have been amazed at how far he was able to take me through singing and help me improve. His techniques are wonderful because he helps you not only develop confidence in your own voice but also how to change parts of it to make it move effective in telling a story through song, rather than just singing."
- High School Student
"Richard and Heidi are dedicated professionals, providing a window to the arts for children of all ages (including adults)!"
